Johnson For Judge

Stephanie Johnson is a lifelong resident of Hill County, Texas growing up in Hillsboro, Texas. After graduating from Hillsboro High School in 1993, she attended Baylor University where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and her Juris Doctorate from Baylor University School of Law in 1999.

Stephanie has built her career as a local attorney at Martin, Showers, Smith & McDonald, L.L.P. since 2001. She has a general law practice, which includes family law, estate planning, probate, personal injury litigation, criminal defense, real estate, and municipal law. Stephanie has held the position of City Attorney in multiple Hill County cities and is currently the prosecutor in the Itasca Municipal Court.

In 2002, Stephanie married her high school sweetheart and fellow Hillsboro native, Dr. M. Scott Johnson, the current mayor of Hillsboro and the owner of Hillsboro Chiropractic Clinic.

Stephanie and Scott have two sons, Benjamin and Andrew.  The Johnsons are active members at First Methodist Church in Hillsboro, where she has served in various leadership positions and has been assisting with the children’s ministry for more than twenty years.

Stephanie’s entire career has been dedicated to the practice of law and serving Hill County with integrity. Her broad and extensive experience uniquely prepares her to fairly and effectively preside over both civil and criminal matters. With deep roots in Hill County, decades of courtroom experience, and a commitment to upholding the constitution, Stephanie Johnson is ready to serve as your District Judge.
